In her studio just outside Summerville, Georgia, Fran Myers creates pottery that is not only beautiful and decorative but is also food safe.  Creating each piece is a challenge she loves.

Fran has loved and collected pottery for years.  In 1999, her dream of creating her own pottery came true.  After taking a few lessons, she got her own wheel and she was hooked.  She continues to expand her knowledge by taking a variety of classes, workshops, and reading.

Fran enjoys making a variety of pieces.  Compotes, teapots, and lidded jars are among her favorites.  Customers often request her bowls and baking dishes.  Her pieces are characteristically glazed in rich, earthly colors and have a variety of textures.  Each piece is a original creation and is signed and dated.

Fran is a founding member of the Rattling Gourd Arts Festival.  Her work may be seen at the Camera, Clay and Canvas Gallery and in Hanging Around Rome Gallery in Rome, Georgia.
